Sivoa is actually one planet amongst many in the S.C.A.R. system, and is by far not the only populated one. There are many other planets that affect the galactic society that Sivoa is only but one part of.

Sivoa's Presence in Space (GA)

Sivoa latched onto much of what the Earthlings had taught them durring Transition and kind of went nuts with it. Because of this the Sivoan's rapidly formed the largest military in that part of galaxy and eventually ended up taking on the duty of protecting the other planets in the S.C.A.R. system.

Ships:

Many of the ships in the fleets are "living ships", made from biotechnology. There are five classes of ships, in both military and civilian fleets.

Classes:

Star: The biggest of the classes, they serve as the flagships for the fleets. "Scar's Gem" is the largest of the Star class, closely followed by "Lion's Claw". "Lion's Claw" is the only biomechanical Star class ship.

Galaxy: The second largest class are the carriers. Each carrier can hold two destroyers and 200 fighters.

Nova: Roughly the size of two to three football feilds, they are entirely biomechanical in build, increasing speed, agility, and power.

Super: About the same size as the destroyers, and also enitrely biomechanical, these sleek ships serve as medical frigates. Only Super class ships, and those higher are capable of hyperspace and subspace jumping.

Tetri: The smallest of the ships, mostly one man fighters, and personal cargo, or family ships.

Civilian fleets:

One of the largest, and perhaps the only, civilian fleet is owned by Brynth Ming, a nobleman from Sivoa who's only son is of the Tentai. His fleet is rivaled only by that of the main military fleet of the empire.

Ming's fleet is often considered to be that "space mafia", but can never have any crimes directly tied to them (perhaps they're just that good).

Leading this nomadic fleet, the "Lion's Claw" is a Star class ship, flanked on all sides by four Galaxy class ships, eight Nova class ships, and a Super class ship nearby.

Military fleets:

Each system has a military fleet to protect their borders. These are headed by a flagship that ultimately answers to "Scar's Gem" - the planet's primary fleet.

Ranks:

These are similar to the earthling ranks (because of Transition) and are as follows.

Colonel
Major
Captain
Commander
Lieutenant
Sergent
Ensign

Most flagships have a Captain as the commanding officer, while the commanding officer of "Scar's Gem" is a Major. Like any military, raising through the ranks is something that must be earned.
