Durring this age, Sivoa has numerous "cults" - all of which searve as some sort of umbrella corperation to a slew of smaller businesses.
Now the cults aren't the only source of bussiness in Sivoa, they're more like valid sponsors for smaller companies.
A great real-life example of such is christian-run bussinesses. God may not have a direct effect of the company itself, but god certainly is important to the owner of said company, and he/she may get receive sponsorship from the church for what they do.
The cults in this setting do have acess to magic, but based on the faction itself, the magic varies. This does not mean that magic use is limited specifically to those that are members, but to perform magic legally magicians must register with one of the cults.
